What is Yield on Cost (YOC)?▼

YOC = Annual DPS ÷ Your Average Buy Price × 100. If you bought ITC at ₹200 in 2019 and it now pays ₹8.5/year, your YOC is 4.25% — even though the current yield on a ₹300 CMP is only 2.8%. YOC grows as companies increase their payouts over time.

How does the TDS calculation work?▼

Under Section 194 of the Income Tax Act, Indian companies deduct TDS at 10% when the total dividend paid to you by that specific company exceeds ₹5,000 in a financial year. We calculate this threshold automatically across your holdings.
